Even though you are not an expert, you know that every golf course in the area has an expert called a pro. All you need to do is get a digital recorder, and convince 5 or 6 area pro’s to do an interview with you.
You might ask each pro to give some tips about different parts of the game. One pro can talk about putting, one about driving, one about chipping etc. Many experts will be happy to do interviews just to get their name out there. Others you may have to pay. One way or another, you can get experts to do interviews with you.

You can probably think of other ways to create products out of the information you gathered just with your interviews. You can see from this example how product creation is really easier than you thought. You can also see that you don’t need to be the expert in order to create a product. You just need to be able to find the experts.

I am interested in selling my homemade jewelry and accessory creations – possibly to a local boutique or some other small store. Do you know how this can be done or what I can do? Will small stores be willing to do this?
You need to approach the owners of small boutiques who specialize in unique gifts. Sometimes you may need to leave items on a consignment basis to get started. Just start visiting some shops in your area that are kind of unique and give it a try.

It can absolutely be done. I’ve been doing it successfully for many years. Specialty boutiques and small local clothing and accessory stores are always looking for different and unusual handmade jewelry pieces.
Always call before attempting to approach the store owner with your jewelry. This is a mistake alot of new jewelry marketers make. They waltz into the store and try to sell their jewelry on the spot. The owner and staff are usually quite busy dealing with customers and won’t have the time to adequately focus on your jewelry without an appointment. You don’t want to start out on bad terms with the boutique owner.
It’s important to approach them in a professional manner with a professional business card, price lists, as well as photographs and samples of your jewelry. Many of these items can be made at home on your personal computer. I usually carry my items in a black display case along with a black velvet sample tray for displaying jewelry to the owner. This seems to work well and looks professional without costing alot of money.
